Large oil on board of cubist mandolin by Sylvia Forster (1903-1993). Born in Liverpool Forster studied at Liverpool College of art where she became heavily influenced by the works of Pablo Picasso and George Braque. She subsequently exhibited at the Royal Academy on many occasions.
