MATTHIAS SAMMER UEFA EURO 1996 MATCH WORN GERMANY JERSEY

An Adidas white #6 jersey which was worn by the German football official and former player Matthias Sammer during the UEFA Euro 1996 Championship that was held in England. With Borussia Dortmund as a player, Sammer won the Bundesliga and DFL-Supercup in 1995, the Bundesliga, DFL-Supercup, and European Footballer of the Year in 1996, and the UEFA Champions League and Intercontinental Cup in 1997. Germany won the UEFA Euro 1996 with Sammer as a player, where he was named the tournament's best player, and was subsequently awarded the Ballon d'Or later that year. Sammer retired with 74 total caps, 23 for East Germany and 51 for the unified side. With Sammer as a manager, Borussia Dortmund won the Bundesliga in 2002.

The jersey features the name "SAMMER" and #6 applied in felt material on the back. A smaller #6 applied in felt material on the chest. Adidas, and "DEUTSCHER FUSSBALL-BUND" crest with three coloured stars are embroidered on the front. The UEFA Euro 1996 patch and "Fair Play" with two pairs of Adidas black stripes are embroidered on sleeves and shoulders, respectively. Made in England. Sized L.
