• Gents Chloride Gent made in Leicester Slave Clock Ex British Rail. Recovered from Sheaf House offices of British Rail opposite the main station demolished in the spring of 2005. Measures 31.5cm in diameter. In very good condition. Established in 1872 by John Thomas Gent, Gents of Leicester became a well-known manufacturer of electrical equipment in the United Kingdom. Its product range, in particular it's electric clocks, are now sought after in the world of vintage decor due to their antique appearance and quality. Gents’ of Leicester was taken over by Chloride in 1981 and was known as ‘Chloride Gent’ The company was sold by Chloride to the MK Electric Group in 1982
